The 2011 Pulitzer Prize winners were announced today. Among them are two authors who spoke at the Aspen Institute this past year: Siddhartha Mukherjee and Kay Ryan. Dr. Mukherjee won the Pulitzer Prize in “General Nonfiction” for his book The Emperor of All Maladies: A Biography of Cancer, while Ryan won her Pulitzer in “Poetry” for her book The Best of It: New and Selected Poems.
