Our Policy Work

The Aspen Institute Energy and Environment Program

The goal of the Aspen Institute Energy and Environment Program is to provide the leadership and a neutral forum for improving policy making through intentional value-based dialogue in the areas of energy and environmental policies.

The Energy Policy Forum, with a broad focus, and the Global Forum on Energy, Economy and Security, limited to international oil and gas issues, attract experts and policy makers annually to discuss current and future trends and issues.

What's New

Aspen Institute Announces Winners of First Annual Energy and Environment Awards. The Aspen Institute proudly announces the winners of the first annual Energy and Environment Awards, which were presented at a ceremony on March 29, 2008, during the inaugural Aspen Environment Forum. Created by the Aspen Global Leadership Network and Henry Crown Fellows, the Aspen Institute Energy and Environment Awards recognize and reward excellence for those making significant contributions to innovation, implementation, and communication of energy and environmental solutions (visit http://www.aspenenvironment.org/program/energy-and-environment-awards).

Similar in spirit to the extremely popular Aspen Ideas Festival, The Aspen Environment Forum is an innovative 3-day festival for intellectual thought and conversation about the environment across a broad array of issues among a diverse group of participants.
