If Countries Lead Will Donors Follow?

MLI was invited to host a special session at the 2011 Global Health Council Conference in June. “If Countries Lead will Donors Follow?” featured officials from the five MLI countries and addressed how MLI countries are taking action to increase country ownership and leadership. The session was moderated by MLI Senior Advisor John Donnelly and included:
-Dr. Francis Omaswa: Executive Director, ACHEST and MLI Senior Advisor
-Dr. Kisito Daoh:Chief Medical Officer, Ministry of Health and Sanitation, Sierra Leone
-Dr. Salif Samake: Director of Planning and Statistics, Ministry of Health, Mali
-Moussa Mbaye:Secretary General, Ministry of Health and Prevention, Senegal
-Dr. Mehin Zewdu: Director General of the Officer of the Federal Minister of Health, Ethiopia
-Dr. Banshidhar Mishra: Former Minister of State, Ministry of Health and Population, Nepal
-Amie Batson, USAID
MLI is also hosted a launch of its Call to Action for Country-Led Development and participated in other conference sessions.
