Aspen Arts Strategy Group: Los Angeles

The Citizen Artists Public Forum will take place 6:30-7:30pm at Walt Disney Concert Hall’s BP Hall, featuring the illustrious roster of artists and arts leaders participating in the afternoon convening in a series of short conversations, on themes including activism, community-building, and the role of music in society. For more information on panelists and program, and to RSVP, please visit www.musiccenter.org/aspenarts.

This event is free-of-charge and open to the public.

Following the inaugural Aspen Arts Strategy Group (NYC, October 2012), the Aspen Institute Arts Program – in partnership with the Music Center of Los Angeles – convenes a group of twenty artists, advocates and policymakers, comprised largely of West Coast leaders and joined by key participants from the original New York sessions. The daylong event will begin with a closed-door leadership roundtable on the ways artists can make an impact beyond the traditional settings, in realms from education to healthcare, urban development and diplomacy, and will culminate in a public discussion and demonstration of Citizen Artist activities at the Music Center.
