The State of the Arts in America
Join Michael M. Kaiser, outgoing president of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, in conversation with Aspen Institute Arts Program Director Damian Woetzel on the state of the arts in America.
Kaiser has been dubbed “the Turnaround King” for his work guiding and rebuilding numerous leading arts institutions through difficult economic climates, including the Royal Opera House in London and American Ballet Theatre. Now, as he embarks on his thirteenth and final year leading the Kennedy Center, Kaiser addresses how the arts in the 21st century can thrive, while making meaningful contributions to society.
The Washington Ideas Roundtable Series is made possible with the generous support of Michelle Smith and the Robert H. Smith Family Foundation.
