Aspen in New York: How Do You Measure Success?

AINY Logo

“How do you measure success?” was the theme for Aspen in New York’s Business and Society Forum 2010, hosted by the Aspen Institute Business & Society Program in partnership with Bloomberg Television and the Stern School of Business, NYU and sponsored by Accenture.  A day-and-a-half of public conversation explored the measures of business health, societal progress and the big questions that link the two.  Featured one-on-one interviews and dialogue among leaders of business, government and society.

Building on the momentum of our inaugural program focused on the future of capitalism, the Aspen Institute and its media partner, Bloomberg TV, explored the criteria used to measure progress—as individuals, as business people and as a society.

Leaders from business, government, academia and the global community participated in a series of discussions that explore the way we think about and measure success, looking at issues that range from the validity of GDP as an indicator of how well a country is doing to the purpose of the firm and its relation to its stakeholders and to societal challenges that impact the lives of individuals such as healthcare, the environment, and the legacy we leave the next generations.

The registration fee for Aspen in New York Business & Society Forum 2010 was $595 (for the full program).
