Emily brings a decade of experience in nonprofit program management with a focus on designing and implementing impactful initiatives centered on community building and leadership development. She currently serves as the Program & Operations Manager for the Social Trust Initiative, an effort to strengthen trust among local communities and unify the public for the common good.
Previously, Emily was with the Aspen Institute’s Program on Philanthropy and Social Innovation (PSI), contributing to initiatives such as the Aspen Philanthropy Group, the Seminar for Mid-America Foundation CEOs, and the Community Foundation Business Model Project.
Before joining the Aspen Institute, Emily worked in the Fellowships and Programs department at the American Association of University Women (AAUW). There, she managed the Empower leadership program, addressing gender pay and leadership gaps, as well as the National Conference for College Women Student Leaders. Earlier in her career, Emily coordinated the National Organization for Women’s (NOW) annual conference and activist events and spearheaded the implementation of NOW’s Strategic Action Program.
Based in Washington, DC, Emily has also contributed to local progressive causes through her involvement with the Women’s Information Network (WIN), serving on the 2016-17 and 2017-18 Executive Committee. Originally from Ohio, she holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations from the University of Cincinnati. Outside of work, Emily enjoys reading, cooking, and spoiling her rescue beagle, Darcy.
