A Conversation with Award-Winning Author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, whose third novel Americanah was selected by The New York Times as one of the 10 Best Books of 2013, joins Aspen Institute Arts Program Director Damian Woetzel in a conversation on the role of literature and the arts in a discourse on race and gender.

Adichie will discuss her novels, including “Americanah,” an exploration of the African identity in America, and other works such as “Half of a Yellow Sun,” a historical novel set during Nigeria’s Biafran war. Adichie is a MacArthur “Genius” Fellowship Awardee, and was named one of the 100 Most Influential People in the World by Time Magazine in 2012.
