Digital Equity Accelerator LinkedIn Livestream
Digital inequity has been a longstanding issue worldwide, and the pandemic has multiplied its effects. HP and Aspen Digital have teamed up to #AccelerateDigitalEquity by supporting nonprofits in scaling their innovative approaches to help meet the needs of underserved communities directly impacted by the digital divide.
At this LinkedIn Live event, we introduced the first-ever Digital Equity Accelerator cohort. The group comprises seven nonprofits from the U.S, India, and Morocco that are innovating to strengthen education, healthcare, and economic opportunity for women and girls; ethnic, racial, and religious minority communities; aging populations; people with disabilities; and the educators working with these groups.
Hosted by HP’s Chief Impact Officer and Head of Sustainable Impact, Ellen Jackowski, the event featured mission-driven leaders:
- Mariama Kabia, Digital Equity Accelerator Lead of Social Impact at HP
- Vivian Schiller, Executive Director of Aspen Digital
- Udbhav Tiwari, Senior Manager at Mozilla, and Digital Equity Accelerator Advisory Council Member
- Kristi Zappie-Ferradino, Director of Programs and Initiatives at the National Digital Inclusion Alliance, and Digital Equity Accelerator Advisory Council Member
The conversation covered how industry, the nonprofit sector, and communities can collaborate to scale impact faster together, as HP works toward accelerating digital equity for 150 million people by 2030.
