Advancing Equity & Social Justice: A Fireside Chat with Dr. Uché Blackstock
Please join at our first co-hosted event with Cure, a world-class laboratory, engineering, and business facility that brings together industry leaders and innovators across the private and public sectors to advance healthcare through the development of cutting-edge solutions across medical devices, digital technologies, healthcare services, and biotherapeutics.
Join us at the Cure headquarters at 345 Park Avenue South in New York City on Wednesday, December 14, 4:30–6:30pm EST, for a discussion with Dr. Uché Blackstock, Founder and CEO of Advancing Health Equity, which partners with healthcare organizations to dismantle racism in healthcare and to close the gap in racial health inequities.
Even as science and technology bring extraordinary breakthroughs to advance healthcare, the solutions remain accessible only to a privileged few and are not accessible to all. COVID laid bare systemic racism and social inequities and shed light on the importance of closing the gaps. This will require a commitment from the science and healthcare ecosystem to redouble efforts and mobilize for equity and social justice.
Join us as we talk with Dr. Blackstock about how those in STEM careers and in medicine can work together to help solve inequities impacting society.
For those who cannot attend in person, the event is available for live-streaming as well.
