McCloskey Speaker Series: The Human City: Urbanism for the Rest of Us with Joel Kotkin
The McCloskey Speaker Series presents a unique and diverse roster of distinguished speakers. The series is made possible by a generous donation from the McCloskey Family Charitable Foundation.
Featuring Joel Kotkin, Presidential Fellow of Urban Futures at Chapman University and Executive Director of the Center for Opportunity Urbanism. Kotkin will discuss his newest book, The Human City: Urbanism for the Rest of Us (Agate, April 2016), which challenges the way we think about our cities. Instead of the conventional urban-planning strategy of high-density cities, he favors a decentralized, more sustainable alternative.
