Amy Glassman is the Program Manager for the Center for Rising Generations at the Aspen Institute. With over a decade of experience in communications, strategic partnerships, leadership development, and event planning, Amy has dedicated her career to nurturing young leaders and driving positive social change.
At the Aspen Institute, Amy has been instrumental in mentoring and supporting hundreds of emerging leaders, establishing strategic partnerships, conceiving new programs, and coordinating global events like the Future Leaders Climate Summit and Aspen Ideas: Climate. She is deeply committed to advancing the Institute’s mission of realizing a free, just, and equitable society.
Prior to joining the Aspen Institute in 2021, Amy gained valuable experience in the nonprofit sector, where she managed volunteer programs, advocated for childhood literacy, worked to protect LGBTQ rights, planned fundraisers, and organized community events. Her superpower is her knack for building bridges between people with diverse worldviews.
Amy holds a Master of Mass Communication with a focus on public interest communications and a Bachelor of Science in Telecommunications, Media, and Society from the University of Florida. She was recognized for her academic achievements with the coveted Outstanding Master’s Student award and graduated with Distinction.
When she’s not working, Amy’s likely to be found hiking the Blue Ridge Mountains with her wife and two dogs, lost in a great book, or traveling to see the latest Broadway production. Some of her favorite things include crunchy autumn leaves, drinking iced coffee, watching sports, listening to podcasts, and belting out a tune or two at karaoke.
