Reviewing a Guide for a Trusted Learning Environment: A Critique Dialogue
The MacArthur Foundation commissioned the Aspen Institute Communications and Society Program to establish a Task Force to envision what student-centered learning should look like, and address the hurdles to more widespread use of connected learning. The Aspen Institute Task Force on Learning and the Internet reported its findings and recommendations in its digital report gallery. As a follow-up, the Aspen Institute is now working to develop tools for implementing key elements of the report and is developing a concrete guide to help schools, communities and app developers recognize and build trusted learning environments. The September 2016 meeting includes innovators, educators, and others in the education space, who will critique and add suggestions to the completed guide.
