America’s National Security Architecture: Rebuilding the Foundation

On November 14, 2016, the ASG released our latest policy publication, America’s National Security Architecture: Rebuilding the Foundation, at the Willard InterContinental in D.C. featuring two great panels with authors from the book and experts in the field. The latest edition to our series of publications released annually informs timely debates in the public domain about ongoing foreign policy challenges and emerging threats to U.S. national security. Panelists Zoë Baird, Michèle Flournoy, Jane Holl Lute, and Dov Zakheim discussed practical ways to repair the key functions of the executive departments moderated by ASG Director Nicholas Burns. Former National Security Advisors Tom Donilon and Steve Hadley provided advice to the incoming administration on the role of National Security Advisor in conversation with Co-Chair Joseph Nye.
