THRIVE is hosting the first annual Regional Health Promotion Conference for Native Youth living in Washington, Oregon and Idaho, which will be held June 27-July 1st on the campus of Portland State University in Portland, OR. Over 4 days, up to 70 high-school aged Native youth can attend workshops on digital storytelling, comic book creation, film production and song development, hear speakers, and take part in evening activities. Subject matter will focus on challenges facing Native youth, including suicide, alcohol and drug abuse. The conference cost of $100 per student includes lodging, meals, workshops, speakers and activities.
