Free AEA Conference Sessions
In case you didn’t know, Saturday afternoon sessions at the AEA will be free and open to the public. This is a great opportunity for advocates, evaluation enthusiasts, and others to attend the conference for free. Speaking Out for Women’s Education
Malala Yousafzai, the 16-year old advocate who was shot by the Taliban in Pakistan for supporting women’s rights and access to education, made a special guest appearance on Tuesday on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. She left Stewart speechless (which is hard to do) when she explained her thoughts about the Taliban before the attempt on her life. Yep, we had some tears in our eyes. But we wonder: what impact will this publicity stateside have on the education of girls in Pakistan and US foreign policy in the region?
