Political Civility and the Role of Congress

In every non-federal election year since 2010, the Socrates Program hosts a special seminar for senior U.S. Senate and House staffers to engage with citizen-leaders on topics and issues relevant to government and society. We live in a bifurcated environment, and the nature of our discourse is critical for the country’s future. The 2017 seminar explored the role of government, government officials, and institutions in the political discourse of the nation.
