2018 Socrates Chicago Salon
Socrates Salons include a public panel and reception on Friday night, and a day-long seminar on Saturday (8:30 am – 4:00 pm). Hosted in partnership with the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, the Chicago Salon will consider American values in a global age and the country’s changing role on the international stage.

The seminar will be moderated by Evelyn Farkas, Nonresident Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council and former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Russia, Ukraine, and Eurasia.

The Friday panel will feature Evelyn Farkas, Nonresident Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council; Reuben Brigety II, Dean of the Elliott School of International Affairs at George Washington University; Brian T. Edwards, Crown Professor and Director of the Program in Middle East and North African Studies at Northwestern University; Richard Wike, Director of Global Attitudes Research at Pew Research Center.
