Built on an aging freeway that connects Washington DC’s southeastern Capitol Hill and historic Anacostia neighborhoods, the 11th St. Bridge Park will be a new venue for recreation, environmental education, and the arts. Featuring cafes, a 280-seat performance venue, agricultural center, and multigenerational playground, the park is well on its way to realizing what has been a decades-long dream.
Washington Post Art and Architecture Critic Philip Kennicott gets the inside story about one of DC’s most exciting public projects with a roundtable of the park’s key players.
Featured Speakers:
Scott Kratz, director, 11th St. Bridge Park
Hallie Boyce, co-lead designer (OLIN), 11th St. Bridge Park
Jason Long, co-lead designer (OMA), 11th St. Bridge Park
