On September 18, 2024 the Finance Leaders Fellowship (FLF) introduced the 2024 class of Finance Leaders Fellows. The 2024 Class joins more than 125 Finance Fellows around the world who are committed to marshalling the industry’s vast resources and influence to address systemic challenges and advance a more just and equitable society. Moreover, they join a wider community of nearly 4,000 values-based leaders in over 60 countries as part of the Aspen Global Leadership Network (AGLN).
From major institutional investors and central banks to leading private equity and social finance platforms, the 2024 Finance Leaders Fellows represent a diverse cross-section of core sectors within the financial ecosystem—key decision-makers managing vital gears within the intricate machinery of global finance. During their two-year leadership journey with the Aspen Institute, through intimate dialogues and deep introspection, the Fellows will be empowered to cultivate a lasting commitment to values-driven leadership and challenged to embrace the responsibility and opportunity they have as industry leaders to drive positive change.

The entrenched challenges in the finance industry demand systems-level solutions—solutions that call for courageous leadership, cross-sector collaboration, and a clear understanding of the linkages between industry inefficiencies and societal inequities. Using the Aspen Institute’s method of text-based dialogue, the Finance Leaders Fellowship offers leaders the opportunity to pause and cultivate the courage, collaboration, and insight needed to meet these challenges.
Together, the 2024 Class will harness their collective power to pursue actionable strategies and partnerships that drive change across an index of challenges, such as closing the racial wealth gap, advancing equitable corporate governance, expanding access to affordable housing, mitigating loan burdens, promoting ethical investing, and tackling the climate crisis.

The Finance Leaders Fellowship is developing a global community of values-based senior finance leaders driving industry change to power societal progress, now with 126 Fellows across 22 countries. Using the Aspen Institute method of text-based dialogue, and building upon the Institute’s commitment to values-based, action-oriented leadership, the program encourages selected Finance Fellows to consider values and perspectives necessary for effective leadership in finance and in society at-large. The Finance Leaders Fellowship was co-founded in 2016 by Aspen Institute Henry Crown Fellow, Ranji Nagaswami, and Aspen Institute Trustee, Chris Varelas.
