The Aspen Institute is looking for social media ambassadors to participate in the Project Play Summit in Detroit, Michigan on September 17-18, 2019.
The 2019 Project Play Summit is the nation’s premier gathering of leaders at the intersection of youth, sport, and health. The Project Play Summit is where stakeholders from across sectors take measure of the state of play and chart next steps in building healthy children and communities through sports. Participants will explore how to give all kids in the US access to quality sport activity regardless of zip code or ability, hear from industry leaders and innovators, and be at the forefront of major new announcements. This year is the first time in the Summit’s five-year history that the event will be held outside Washington, D.C., headquarters for the Aspen Institute.
As a social media ambassador, you will share opinions and observations from the Project Play Summit with your social media audience using the hashtag #DontRetireKid. Additionally, you will receive free entrance and priority seating.
Being a social media ambassador is a great opportunity to share the key messages of the day with a larger audience and to move forward the conversation on building healthy, active communities through sport. The ideal ambassador will:
- Have a large following on one or multiple social media platforms
- Possess a strong passion for building healthy, active communities
- Demonstrate a keen eye for creative digital storytelling
In the application, please specify if you would like to cover the event from your organization’s social media accounts. Please note, transportation and lodging are not provided by the Aspen Institute.
You can apply now to be a social media ambassador by filling out the form below. Applications are due by 11:59 PM EDT on Tuesday, August 13. Following the Aspen Institute Sports & Society Program (@AspenInstSports) on Facebook and Twitter is not required, but highly recommended.
If selected, you will be notified the week of August 19 with further details. Please email funmi.animashuan@aspeninstitute.org and socialmedia@aspeninstitute.org with questions.
