As candidates present their plans for job growth during this election, we look at a critical component of training the next generation labor force: community colleges. 
In the Aspen Workforce Strategies Initiative’s (Aspen WSI) report Courses to Employment we looked at six community college-nonprofit partnerships working together to help low-income adults succeed in the classroom and the labor market. In looking at the approaches, strategies, and influencing factors at each of these schools, Aspen WSI draws up a model for increasing the success of adult students in these situations.
