Gen. (Ret.) Stanley McChrystal, chairman of the Aspen Institute Franklin Project Leadership Council, at the 2013 Aspen Ideas Festival
From June 4 to 6, the Aspen Institute Franklin Project will host a summit on national service in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, bringing together a list of high-profile leaders from across US public, private, and civic institutions. The Summit at Gettysburg: Our Unfinished Work aims to revive a new dimension to citizenship in this country, grounded in a service year as a rite of passage for all 18 to 28-year-olds. The Summit is hosted together with the National Conference on Citizenship, ServiceNation, and Voices for National Service, featuring speakers such as Chelsea Clinton, vice chair of the Clinton Foundation; Tim Shriver, CEO of the Special Olympics; Barbara Bush, CEO of Global Health Corps; and others.
