Recently, more than 60 of the country’s top policy makers, business leaders, and journalists convened at the fifth annual Washington Ideas Forum, sponsored by the Aspen Institute in collaboration with The Atlantic and The Newseum.
Forum speakers engaged in in-depth interviews on a wide range of topics concerning the country’s standing, both domestically and on the international level. Speakers at the event included Democratic House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, Uber CEO Travis Kalanick, Google[x] head Astro Teller, and Republican senator and former presidential candidate John McCain. They were joined by journalists from the nation’s leading news sources, including James Bennet, editor-in-chief of The Atlantic, David Brooks of The New York Times, and Alex Wagner of MSNBC.
Aspen Institute President and CEO Walter Isaacson, Chairman of Atlantic Media David Bradley, and President of The Newseum Jim Duff hosted the two-day event.
