On the heels of receiving the Charity Navigator four-star rating, the Aspen Institute has been recognized by Forbes as one of the nation’s 200 largest charities. The list reflects organizations receiving private gifts in the last fiscal year totalling more than $46 million. In addition to qualifying for this listing, the Institute scored high marks for the efficiency of its fundraising operation, with only 3% of donor dollars committed to fundraising.
