On September 21, 2012, Lisa Mensah, Executive Director at the Aspen Institute’s Initiative on Financial Security (Aspen IFS) moderated a panel on “Retirement Equity in the Wake of the Great Recession” at CFED’s Assets Learning Conference in Washington D.C. The panel investigated patterns in asset holdings and the future of asset building among Americans above the age of 50. Mensah was joined by Jason Seligman of The Ohio State University, who addressed the topic of home equity in late career, and Laura Sullivan of Brandeis University, who talked about asset holdings for older adults.
