On winning big and small
RWJF’s Culture of Health blog has a top ten list of big and small wins in 2014 (which was evidently the year of the bicycle) that point the way toward continued public health policy progress in 2015. And along the way, RWJF has helped us understand what they mean by “a culture of health” – a welcome step toward defining this broad concept. That’s important to us evaluator folks who are in hot pursuit of meaningful and measurable indicators of progress.
On working and sharing
What does it mean to have a job? To be employed? To be under-employed? How do we measure work and value in the “sharing economy”? The Aspen Institute’s Economic Opportunities Program asked some tough policy and measurement questions about the impact on the labor market and long-term livelihoods of services like Uber, Airbnb, SpoonRocket, Handy, Taskrabbit, et al.
