Yesterday, the White House announced the launch of “Winning the Future: President Obama and the Native American Community” a webpage dedicated to Native American issues. This website is intended to serve as a tool to assist Indian Country in navigating the federal government. In addition, visitors to the site can stay updated and learn more about the President’s agenda for issues related to Native Americans. The webpage was developed after a recent White House listening session in which tribal leaders asked for a centralized list of offices and agencies within the federal government doing work on Indian issues.
The White House will be sending periodic e-mail updates on the issues impacting Indian Country. You can sign-up for these updates here. This is a great way for you to stay up-to-date on the President’s work with Indian Country, so please sign-up!
