Hosted in partnership with the Hunt Institute for Global Competitiveness and the Aspen Institute’s Latinos and Society Program, the Inclusive Republic Summit in El Paso will consider the rich history of America while wrestling with threats to our national pursuit of life, liberty, and happiness. Join in discussion with such leaders as Representative Veronica Escobar, Tracy Yellen (CEO of the Paso del Norte Health Foundation), and Diana Natalicio (President of the University of Texas at El Paso).
The Inclusive Republic Summit
Our nation’s Founding Fathers were in a constant state of debate with each other and we will be working with some of the most famous products of that time as well as contemporary pieces that provide texture to our national conversation on societal norms, nationhood, and our obligations to each other and the world. Moreover, we will explore the context in which our founding documents were written, discuss the state of our democratic institutions, and examine our expectations for national leaders.
The Friday reception will feature a keynote panel with local and national leaders and officials setting the tone for the conversation the following day. Drinks and light appetizers will be served. Attire is smart casual.
