27th Annual Awards Dinner

On November 4, 2010, the Aspen Institute hosted the 27th Annual Awards Dinner at The Plaza Hotel in New York City.
This year’s event honored Leonard Lauder, chairman emeritus of The Estée Lauder Companies, Inc., with the Aspen Institute Corporate Leadership Award, and Vartan Gregorian, president of the Carnegie Corporation, with the Aspen Institute Henry Crown Leadership Award. Christiane Amanpour, anchor of ABC’s “This Week,” moderated a discussion on leadership with Mr. Lauder and Dr. Gregorian. Additionally, the third annual John P. McNulty Prize was awarded to John Danner of San Jose, California, co-founder of Rocketship Education, a national network of high-performing elementary charter schools whose mission is to eliminate the income achievement gap.
