A special alumni seminar with 5 visiting Sudanese leaders. This seminar is an exciting opportunity to discuss the landscape of values-based leadership in the 21st century as Sudanese leaders (as part of Northwestern University’s Sudan Good Governance Fellowship) chart a new course for their country. The seminar will survey central concepts underlying leadership and the good society with an eye to clarifying the tensions and trade-offs among values as leaders make difficult decisions. What are the key values for just, effective leadership? What are the sources of these values, and can they be extended universally? How do these values affect specifically African challenges to leadership?
