Edlis Neeson Great Decisions: Climate Change

In this eight-week series, participants gather to discuss key foreign policy issues facing the world today. Led by volunteer moderators, participants will engage in moderated discussions with their fellow citizens. This year’s topics will include Biden’s Agenda, Changing Demographics, Industrial Policy, Outer Space, Quad Alliance, Russia and the US, Drug Policy in Latin America and Climate Change.

This year’s series will be held in person at the Aspen Meadows. Participants will be asked to show vaccination status and a negative COVID test result before each session. The Aspen Institute will provide tests for each session.

March 10 – Climate Change: The ideological divide in the United States on the subject of climate change has impeded progress in curbing greenhouse emissions. But extreme weather events at both ends of the thermometer have focused attention on the consequences of inaction. What role will the United States play in future negotiations on climate?

Thursdays from 6:00-8:00 p.m. beginning Thursday, January 20, running through Thursday, March 10 in the Koch Building at the Aspen Institute.

 Fee: $225, includes all sessions, readings, and light refreshments. Scholarships available.
