This exciting pitch event is occurring on March 11 at the Aspen Institute, co-hosted by IREX and the Stevens Initiative. The in-person event has reached capacity. About the Global Solutions Summit:
The Global Solutions Summit is the culminating event of the Global Solutions Sustainability Challenge, a virtual exchange initiative that supports workforce development in the U.S. and Jordan. Fifteen bi-national teams composed of 315 post-secondary students from the U.S. and Jordan participated in a collaborative virtual exchange to discover and create innovative, sustainable solutions to the challenge prompt “unlock your communities’ potential for sustainable hospitality and tourism”. Team solutions were displayed in a Global Solutions Virtual Fair. Three binational finalist teams were selected by a selection committee of hospitality, sustainability, and education experts to proceed on to this in-person summit. At the Global Solutions Summit on March 11, finalists will present their prototypes and concepts in front of guests and a panel of expert judges.
Global Solutions is supported by the Stevens Initiative, which is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and administered by the Aspen Institute, and implemented by IREX. The Stevens Initiative is also supported by the Bezos Family Foundation and the governments of Morocco and the United Arab Emirates.
