McCloskey Speaker Series – A Conversation with Jimmy Carter, 39th President of the United States and Former First Lady Rosalynn Carter

The McCloskey Speaker Series presents a unique and diverse roster of distinguished speakers. The series is made possible by a generous donation from the McCloskey Family Charitable Foundation.

Featuring former President Jimmy Carter and former First Lady Rosalynn Carter in conversation with Aspen Institute President and CEO Walter Isaacson. In 2002, President Carter was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for his work in international conflict resolution, human rights, and economic and social development. Both the former president and his wife are founders and trustees of The Carter Center, a non-profit organization in Atlanta, GA, dedicated to the alleviation of human suffering through programs focusing on peace and health. Rosalynn Carter serves as chairperson of the Center’s Mental Health Task Force and as president of the board of directors for the Rosalynn Carter Institute for Caregiving in Americus, GA.

*This event is sold out. Any unclaimed tickets will be sold at the door. The wait line begins at 2:45 p.m. in the Paepcke Building. Free overflow seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis in Paepcke Auditorium.
