Our Society Reimagined: Exploring New Ideas

This four-week series is designed as a forum for community members to gain insight into specific issues facing our society today, as well as research viable solutions to these issues.
The topics to be covered are Surveillance; Alternative College Funding; Electoral Redistricting; and Designer Babies. The pace of technological innovation presents opportunities for advancement across a broad spectrum but, at the same time, presents issues that defy ready solutions. What new ideas and innovations could steer our society in a new direction, for better or for worse?

Each Wednesday for four weeks, participants will gather for a robust, in-depth conversation delving into each topic. The format will include brief readings, tutorials and moderated round table discussions.

This week’s topic is Alternative College Funding.

Fee: $99, includes all sessions, readings and light refreshments. Registration is now open.

Seed funding was used to launch the first year of this program. To make future years possible, we will be seeking sponsors for the program.
