Service Year + Higher Ed Innovation Challenge

*This event is by invitation only.

The Franklin Project, the National Conference on Citizenship, and the Corporation for National & Community Service announced the Service Year + Higher Education: Innovation Challenge on January 15th. The effort challenges higher education institutions to create innovative new service year opportunities connected to academic credit for their students.

Over 200 universities engaged with the prize organizers to learn more about the effort and 32 submitted detailed proposals for consideration. The top nine (the top three from the community college, public, and private categories) were invited to the Aspen Institute in Washington, DC, to compete for $100,000 in prizes at an in-person pitch day on April 15th.

We cordially invite you to join the livestream on April 15th to watch the nine finalists pitch their ideas in front of a distinguished panel of judges and for the announcement of the winners. Please register to recieve information about accessing the livestream.

Generous support from the Lumina Foundation has made the prize possible. For more information, including information about our distinguished panel of judges and the nine finalists, please visit SYchallenge.org.
