SOF Discussion Reception: The US and The Middle East: 20 Years After 9/11
The nationwide slate of Society of Fellows programming for this fall will kick off in Washington, DC on Thursday, September 23 with the SOF Discussion Reception: The US and The Middle East: 20 Years After 9/11.
The discussion will feature Vali Nasr, Professor of International Affairs and Middle East Studies at the Johns Hopkins University; Barbara Slavin, Director of the Future of Iran Initiative at the Atlantic Council; and Robin Wright, American foreign affairs analyst, author and journalist; in conversation with Yara Bayoumy, World/National Security Editor for Opinion at The New York Times, about the fragile state of the Middle East and the current crisis in Afghanistan twenty years after 9/11.
