February 2, 2022––The Aspen Ideas Festival returns in summer 2022 as a full scale, in-person event in Aspen, CO, organized by the Aspen Institute in partnership with NBCUniversal News Group. Passes to attend are available to purchase now. The festival comprises three segments and is opened by Aspen Ideas: Health from June 22-25, followed by Festival 1 from June 25-June 28, and Festival 2 from June 28-July 1. Programming will largely take place in open-air tents and venues which bring the outside in.
Members of the media are also invited to apply to attend the Aspen Ideas Festival as covering reporters. Information about media credentialing, including the form to apply, is available here.
Now in its 18th year, the Aspen Ideas Festival is the Aspen Institute’s signature public convening. The multi-week gathering features some of the most exciting leaders and thinkers from around the globe and many disciplines engaging in deep and inquisitive discussion of the ideas and issues that shape our lives and challenge our times. Among the key themes explored at this year’s festival are conversations around “power,” “connection,” and “trust,” with a renewed focus on economic inclusion.
Aspen Ideas: Health highlights pioneering thinking in science, medicine, and well-being, featuring conversations with visionary leaders, innovators, and advocates in health. Program tracks include “hope,” “disruption,” and “pleasure,” with discussions on the imperative of equity threaded throughout the event.
Also announced for 2022 is a multi-year, multi-platform partnership with NBCUniversal News Group. The agreement includes an editorial and programming collaboration to jointly create engaging and informative festival content and even further extend the reach of the festival’s on-the-ground events, partners and sponsors to audiences across NBCU News Group’s wide-reaching broadcast, cable, digital, audio and streaming platforms.
Organizers will continue to share updates on the Aspen Ideas Festival throughout the first half of 2022, including speaker and programming announcements, and ways to attend.
