Washington, D.C, September 13, 2023–The Aspen Cyber Summit is an annual gathering for top leaders from business, government, and civil society to discuss the world’s urgent cyber issues. Hosted by Aspen Digital, a policy program of the Aspen Institute, this nonpartisan event is one of the most significant stages for cyber policy discussion, spurring dialogue and momentum to act on the challenges of today and tomorrow.
With the recent proliferation of publicly available generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools, the technology and cybersecurity landscape is in transition. On Wednesday, November 15 at the 92nd Street Y in New York City, Aspen Cyber Summit attendees will hear from US Securities and Exchange Commission Corporation Finance Director Erik Gerding, Rapid7 CEO and Aspen Global Cybersecurity Group Co-Chair Corey Thomas, OneSpan CEO Matthew Moynahan, and American University Vice Provost for Research and Innovation Diana Burley on how this technology will change our lives, and whether generative AI is revolutionary, evolutionary, or just hype.
Additional confirmed participants include: Okta Chief Information Security Officer Jameeka Green Aaron, FBI Cyber Division Assistant Director Bryan Vorndran, Veracode CEO Sam King, and Stillman College President Emerita Cynthia Warrick, with more speakers to be announced in the coming weeks.
