FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler To Deliver Final Public Address

WASHINGTON, January 9, 2017 — The Aspen Institute will host FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler as he addresses the public for the last time before he steps down from the position on January 18, 2017.

Chairman Wheeler’s speech entitled, “Communications at a Crossroads: Charting the Course Forward” will reflect on lessons learned during his FCC tenure and discuss the path ahead for U.S. broadband policy. He will also discuss how the change in administrations could lead to dramatic changes in government oversight of network operators, which would have profound implications for Internet users.
