Washington, DC, January 24 – 25, 2017 – The Aspen Institute will host the Aspen Forum on Children and Families, one of 2017’s first major events focused on policies for children and families.
Ascend at the Aspen Institute will host an agenda-setting event with policymakers, practitioners, parents, researchers, and philanthropists to put forth concrete policy ideas for the new Administration, Congress, and states to move children and families forward. Featured speakers include US Senator Martin Heinrich (D-NM), who is re-introducing the Two-Generation Economic Empowerment Act with US Senator Susan Collins (R-ME), and Nobel Laureate James Heckman, who has demonstrated the return on investment in high quality early childhood programs.
