Washington, DC, August 2, 2021 — NBCUniversal News Group will return as the exclusive media partner of the 2021 Aspen Security Forum for the fifth consecutive year. Hosted by the Aspen Strategy Group, the 2021 Forum will take place as a free-to-access digital event on Tuesday, August 3 and Wednesday, August 4. Leading journalists, anchors, and reporters from NBC News and MSNBC will drive discussion throughout the live event.

- August 3, 12:15pm ET – Hallie Jackson, NBC News Senior Washington Correspondent and host of Hallie Jackson Reports on MSNBC, in conversation with Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield, Ambassador of the United States to the United Nations
- August 3, 1:15pm ET – Richard Engel, NBC News Chief Foreign Correspondent and host of On Assignment with Richard Engel on MSNBC, in conversation with Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah bin Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia

In addition to viewers having the option to register to watch Day 1 and Day 2 of the Forum online, NBCUniversal News Group will share key sessions on air on MSNBC and stream across the network’s various digital and streaming platforms including NBCNews.com, MSNBC.com, NBC News NOW and NBC News’ YouTube Channel.
NBC News and MSNBC contributors David Ignatius and Peter Baker will also participate as a moderators during the Forum.

Topics to be addressed include China’s rising influence, global economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, America’s future relationship with Afghanistan, the Biden administration’s global diplomatic strategy and its trade agenda, cybersecurity and emerging technologies, the promise and peril of cryptocurrencies, UFOs and the private-sector space race, and more.
All programming will broadcast live on Zoom, with conversations running throughout both days from 8:00am ET up to 4:30pm ET. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask speakers questions during the live broadcast, and all conversations will be available to watch afterwards on the Aspen Institute’s YouTube page.
