UpSkill America is an employer-led movement to expand opportunity for America’s workers and allow our economy and communities to thrive. As part of our mission to advance the upskilling movement, we are pleased to share the following news featuring one of our partners.
In June, several McDonald’s restaurant employees accomplished a life-long achievement and walked across a stage to receive a college degree from Colorado Technical University. Since 2015, Archways to Opportunity has provided more than 24,000 eligible employees at participating US restaurants an opportunity to earn a high school diploma, receive upfront college tuition assistance, access free education advising services, and learn English as a second language. We are delighted with McDonald’s commitment to education and commend them for joining a growing list of companies who are advancing the upskilling movement in 2018.
