Bernadette Hobson is Senior Manager, Government Affairs at PepsiCo. In this role, she oversees the relationship with U.S. Federal government agencies and Congress, developing and executing a U.S. Federal outreach and engagement strategy, and leads coordination efforts on global strategic priorities and issues that have a U.S. Federal dimension. Prior to PepsiCo, Bernadette was appointed to serve in the Administration of President Barack Obama as Deputy White House Liaison at the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), and was responsible for developing an engagement and retention strategy for 248political appointees and advancing President Obama’s Diversity and Leadership Initiative in collaboration with the Office of Presidential Personnel at the White House. Before her appointment at USDA, Bernadette led the coordinating efforts of the U.S. – Mexico Clean Energy and Climate Policy Task Force at the U.S. Department of Energy, which resulted in a North American goal to reduce methane emissions in oil and gas sectors by 40-45% by 2025. She also worked at the National Economic Council at the White House on domestic energy, travel and tourism policy, the Management Office of the U.S. Embassy Mexico City, and the Office of Commercial and Business Affairs at the U.S. Department of State. Bernadette also has over 13 years of experience in financial services, private wealth management, and investment banking.
