Brenda is currently a Junior at Saint Vincent Academy. In addition to being enrolled in all honors classes, she is a member of the National Honor Society. Aside from being a part of NHS, she is also mentor a group of Freshmen who attend her high school through a program called Peer Leadership. Brenda is extremely dedicated to making a difference in her community and is involved with multiple nonprofit organization such as The All Stars Project of New Jersey. Through All Stars, she has been given the opportunity to participate in multiple programs within All Stars such as the Development School for Youth, Captains Club, The Talent Show Network and Tech Track. Through her participation in these programs, she was given the opportunity to speak at the National Benefit Dinner along with interning at one of the world’s foremost data and analytics company, Dun and Bradstreet for 6 weeks over the summer. She was recently awarded with a Young Leaders for Change award which has strengthened her self-confidence and belief that one can accomplish when they truly invest themselves in it. In the future, she plans on holding a job that allows her to impact the lives of others. Brenda’s intense interest in the fields of science and math has inspired me to pursue a career in the medical field. My knowledge of science and medicine is being expanded through my participation in the Rutgers SMART program which I am currently a student in.
