Brett Howley is a senior program manager for the Aspen Challenge. Her primary responsibilities for the program are to create and execute the program’s communications strategy and to cultivate and maintain partnerships on a local, national, and internal level. Prior to joining the Leadership Division and Aspen Challenge in September of 2019, Brett worked for the Public Programs Department of the Aspen Institute organizing and executing the Aspen Ideas Festival as part of an incredible team. Brett first found herself in Aspen and at the Aspen Institute thanks to an incredible internship with the Conference Services Department in the Summer of 2009. The Institute’s inspiring and exciting work as well as all that the outdoors of Aspen has to offer has never allowed Brett to stay away for too long. After a year and a half living and working in East Africa, Brett returned to Aspen ‘for good’ in 2015. Brett is an avid soccer player and appreciates a good dinner party with great food and community more than most things in this world.
