Denise Nicole Johnson is the Career & Education Navigator for Port Jobs’ Airport Jobs and Airport University Programs. Port Jobs is a nonprofit organization that supports a vibrant and equitable port-related economy. Port Jobs connects King County residents to jobs, training opportunities, and career advancement within the airport, trade, logistics, construction and maritime sectors. Johnson helps low-income airport workers and job seekers define their pathways to go back to school or obtain higher-paying jobs. Since her 2011 college internship, Johnson has continuously grown professionally, working her way up through the ranks within Port Jobs, giving her a relatable voice with her clients.
She attended Highline College as a Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society member, receiving her Associates of Applied Science Degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Highline College.
Johnson now serves as the President of Highline Colleges Hospitality & Tourism Management Advisory Board.
Denise Nicole Johnson is a member of the Greater Seattle Sector Skills Academy Class of 2016, one of several Workforce Leadership Academies in localities across North America.
