Janna has been working at Centennial College for the past seven years, originally as the coordinator for Pre-Apprenticeship programs and now as the Chair of Part-time Learning for the School of Transportation. Before coming to Centennial College, Janna managed employment programs at both the AIDS Committee of Toronto and Tropicana Community Services (formerly AYCE). She is the past Vice-Chair for JOIN (Job Opportunity Information Network for persons with disabilities) and is currently on the advisory committee for both Strong Girls Strong Women at Centennial College and the Women in Skilled Trades Network.
A people-focused individual, Janna is experienced in the theory and practice of cultural competency, employment counseling, job development, and employment barriers for marginalized communities. She is a passionate advocate of the skilled trades and works diligently to promote this agenda. Janna holds a degree in Equity Studies from the University of Toronto.
Janna Erichsen is a member of the Toronto Sector Skills Academy, Class of 2016-17, one of several Workforce Leadership Academies in localities across North America.
