Javier Cárdenas Maya holds a degree in International Relations from Universidad del Valle de México. Currently, he is an immigration consultant in Mexican law and procedures. In this role he advises and supports the Instituto Nacional de Migración en la delegación Querétaro y San Miguel de Allende. His daily work consists of working with immigrants and he brings a unique perspective of how political, economic, social, and environmental issues impact citizens and their migration patterns. Javier enjoys keeping up with political happenings in Mexico and in other countries and is committed to collaborating with other members of society to eradicate social such as discrimination. Selected to participate in the 2021 Aspen Community Programs: Edlis Neeson Great Decisions.
