Joaquín Aviñó is a global business leader with over 20 years of experience driving innovation, leading change, and delivering business performance. He has extensive experience in sales enablement, business planning and strategy execution with global, complex businesses.Joaquin is currently the Vice President of Strategic Initiatives at Prudential Financial. His primary responsibilities include accelerating and advancing the overarching U.S. business strategy, while supporting the underlying business strategies for Group Insurance and Retirement practices. Within his remint is support of Prudential’s Financial Wellness solutions. Before joining Prudential, Joaquin has been the Senior Vice President of Business Development and Partnerships at JetSmarter, a start-up in the private aviation space. In this role, he reported to the CEO and drove end-to-end partnership development. Prior to this Joaquin held numerous leadership roles at American Express across both their credit card and corporate travel divisions over 10+ years. Joaquin had roles in strategy, operations and supplier management. Earlier in his career Joaquín worked in strategy consulting at Booz Allen Hamilton where he helped clients develop strategic marketing and growth plans. Joaquín is a graduate of Harvard University and also has an MBA from Columbia Business School. He is an avid marathon runner and travel enthusiast.
